报告摘要：The presentation will include the general knowledge in academic publishing, the bibliometric performance for several top ranking geotechnical engineering journals as well as a preliminary analysis for publications from Hohai University. We will also share the knowledge of how to become a reviewer, a board member or an Editor for an international journal. Professors and young scholars who are interested in academic publishing and geotechnical journals are mostly welcome to attend.

报告人简介：

Ms. Tracy Chen is the Publisher for eleven Journals published by Elsevier in Ocean and Geotechnical Engineering field. The Journals include Computers and Geotechnics, International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Mining Sciences, Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology incorporating Trenchless Technology Research, Geotextile and Geomembrane, etc., which are top ranking titles in geotechnical engineering filed. The Publisher is responsible for the development and maintenance of a group of journals via collaborating with Journal Editors, Journal Managers, Marketing Managers etc. Tracy obtained her Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Jilin University in 2008 and entered academic publishing industry right after her graduation. Prior to the Publisher’s role, she has worked on special issues for over 150 international journals in Energy, Chemical Engineering, Physics and Materials fields. She has also worked on content management for international conferences. Tracy is based in Beijing, China.
